“VIAGGIO MUSICALE VERSO I LUOGHI DI DANTE”
Invited by Associazione Svezia-Italia, on the 15th of April 2021 at 8.00 pm, the pianist and opera singer Raffaello Bellavista and the singer and stylist Serena Gentilini, will take the audience through an exclusive and immersive documentary concert inspired by Dante Alighieri and his Divine Comedy, available in streaming worldwide.
The concert will take place at Sala della Musica in the Tenuta Biodinamica Mara of San Clemente but the visual storytelling of Dante’s places will reach the Sala Dantesca of Biblioteca Classense, the Sala Preconsiliare and the Sala Consiliare of Comune di Ravenna, the Grave of Dante and the garden with the Quadrarco di Braccioforte, the pineta ravennate, and the whole peninsula of Boscoforte.
The compositions (piano, opera and modern) will set up an evocative musical journey. It will begin with Franz Liszt’s “Dante Sonata”, the romantic music translation of the author’s Dante Journey,
followed by some works where indirect references to the rise from the Hell to the Heaven are shown: two arias from Mozart’s “Don Giovanni” and Beethoven’s famous “Moonlight Sonata”.
For the final crossover representation of the Heaven and the Love, the singer Serena Gentilini will perform famous contemporary songs like “Ain’t No Sunshine” by Bill Withers, “Knockin’ on Heaven’s Door” by Guns N’ Roses, “Eden” by Raffaello Bellavista and “Heaven” by Avicii. While singing she will wear a tailored dressed inspired by Beatrice’s character.
At the end of the event, Raffaello Bellavista will premier his composition “Notturno a Venezia op.1”, based on the last Dante’s journey to Venice as an ambassador of the city of Ravenna.
